David Conti, MD, is a sports medicine provider at Dayton Children's Hospital.

Dr. Conti attended the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio for his undergraduate degree where he was a member of the university's swim team. Following college, he received his medical degree from the Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Phoenix Children's Hospital and completed his fellowship in sports medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children's Hospital.

Dr. Conti loves staying active through outdoor activities such as swimming, hiking, kayaking, and biking.

I chose my specialty because...

Sports medicine is very hands-on and relies heavily on the patient's history and exam to make the diagnosis. Due to my personal athletic and injury history, I know how important sports are for children and young adults. I want to help my patients return to their activities as quickly and safely as possible.

I like working with kids because...

They are resilient, honest, and hilarious! One of my passions is preventative medicine. Caring for and teaching children healthy habits can have long-lasting positive impacts.

He was patient and very kind. He was also very informative.

I was impressed with the provider because he gave us information that was really helpful in understanding what was going on with my son. And then when my son was listening to the information, he was very upset and the provider was very calm and helpful and encouraging. We really appreciated that.
