Craig Shank, MD

bio

Craig Shank is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Dayton Children's Hospital. Born and raised in Cedarville, Ohio, Dr. Shank attended Cedarville University for his undergraduate degree where he graduated summa cum laude. He went on to graduate with his doctorate of medicine from University of Toledo College of Medicine. Dr. Shank completed  his post-graduate training at Mount Carmel Medical Center, Nationwide Children's Hospital and Seattle Children's Hospital. Dr. Shank is also a clinical assistant professor at Wright State University School of Medicine. When not seeing patients at Dayton Children's, Dr. Shank is often going on medical mission trips. He has traveled to Mexico, Bangladesh, Kenya, and Togo.

I appreciate that each doctor that came in had taken the time to examine my child and ask questions. I appreciate that they took the time to re-read the MRI.

I didn't have a problem with anyone there. I just didn't like the long drive to get there.

Yeah, Dr. Shank is fantastic. I'm a physician myself, and he took the time to talk with me at a deeper level, kind of of analysis and description than he would otherwise. And there are doctors that I've worked with in the past, you know, for my daughter or wife, who for some reason are really weird about that and dismissive or disrespectful or, or just ignore your questions. But he, he answered every question I had just absolutely fantastic, really, really a pleasure to work with him. So, thank you, Dr. Shank.
