Every Kid Counts

Colin is officially in Washington D.C. today for Family Advocacy Day! One of the main messages we want to share with Congress this week during Family Advocacy Day is that a growing number of children and their families face the realities of managing very complex medical conditions. This is why Colin is a perfect ambassador for us! He and his family will meet with members of Congress to share their personal experiences in coordinating multiple doctors, therapists and hospitals. We love this! Even siblings of our patients can get involved in helping out! One of our ambassador's Kayleigh's sister worked with her Brownie troop to make 4 ($50 value) JOY JARS for kids battling cancer at Dayton Children's. Each jar contained games and activities to keep kids entertained when they were in the hospital! Way to go girls!
