We have created this blog as a way to communicate key childrens' health and safety issues to parents and other child advocates. It is managed by Dayton Children's department of marketing communications. Comments can be sent to email@example.com.
Recently we shared an article from Dr. Ramey Child Psychologist about red-shirting 8th graders. This week, in response to his article, our sports medicine expert, Dr. Scott, sounds off on what the trends are nationwide and what her thoughts are on this topic. Check it out and let us know what you think. If you have questions for Dr. Scott on this topic please share them here! http://blog.childrensdayton.org/for-or-against-red-shirting/
This 4th of July we are celebrating one of our new ambassadors birthdays! Andray has been treated at Dayton Children's since he was just a baby for sickle cell disease. But even though he lives every day fighting this disease you rarely ever see him without a big smile on his face! Help us in wishing Andray a very happy birthday! http://www.childrensdayton.org/cms/sucess_stories/andray_simmons/index.html
